Woke up to three inches of snow this morning. Snow in April isn't all that unusual around here. I'd say it happens more often than not, but that doesn't stop people from bitching. You've heard the Irish say, "As welcome as the flowers in May"? It's opposite would be, "As welcome as snow in April".

There has been snow in Las Vegas in the past 3 years and there's more every year.

I wonder if global warming has anything to do with the snow in December in Vegas Valley.

    Howdy,

Hehe. I only saw a small scatter of snow, and that's cause I live in the mountains here in Las Cruces, New Mexico. (Near White Sands if that helps any of ya guys out, or where they tested the Atomic Bomb) and it's been fantastic out. Just...a little windy, but this is normal this time of year, tho.

I was born and raised in Michigan, so this is s till semi abnormal for me, but lemme tell ya. I do really miss the snow, just not the cold that is associated with it. I can't believe your actually getting snow in Vega of all places, for Phoenix and Vegas are known to be hot as heck. =D

Of course it does. Didn't you know that global warming causes everything. Not only is it the reason our winters are colder, it made those pirates kidnap that Captain and makes Obama say he is cutting the deficit in half while he is busy doubling it it. And it's all your fault, too. Laughing

Whereabouts in Michigan did you live, Ali? I'm just North of Detroit.

    Grin,

Hahaha. About the Global Warming, and it's the truth... "It's all our fault" to some less extent. Hehe.

I lived in Alpena, Born and raised there for nearly 19 years. Lemme tell ya, I'm glad I'm outta that joint. Miss the weather, and the ability to fish, but...everything gone to crap. Ya guys need Engler or someone to rebound Michigan. =)

Indeed. Bend over and get ready for it, because Obama is doing the same thing for the nation that our lovely Governor has already done for Michigan.

    Grin,

I would seriously look into "FairTax" Debate, and I'm a pretty strong supporter of it. Yeah, it sounds crazy and unrealistic, but ya never know it can catch on, and it's growing as a wild fire. If your curious about it, I can send ya a link to a guy who is literally a guru on it, and can answer any questions.

I said for one thing, "Obama will destory the nation faster, and restart if thats if ya want rapid change and rebirth. McCain if you want a slow prolonged death to rebirth."

    =P

    True, I think.

Sounds like we're on the same wavelength politically. I'm also a strong supporter of the fair tax. It's quite popular with the people but it's never going to happen. We'd have to hang an awful lot of them before Congress would ever give up that much power.

Yes, we are at the beginning of a new nation. I just hope that it's at least half as good as the United States was. I knew that we had lost the election the moment McCain clinched the nomination. At that point it didn't matter who won, we lost.

    Grin,

Very true, and yes it does seem to have same ideals. I just care about liberaty and pursuit of happnies, just like what the "Founders" wanted. We are collapsing like the new roman empire, needless to say. =/ I think the era of big nations is long gone, or super powers. It's going to be more of a "connected unity of nations."

I think FairTax is one of the few things, if we want to stay "Good Ol' US of A" then this is a must, IMO. Or I just might move to New Zealand since they seem a little bit smarter in how to handle the current "Crisis" of the year.

    Anything can happen, tho.

    Grin,

No comment, despite that I'm making a comment by saying "no comment." =P

Swine flu really, really was overblown by the media. I guess they got sick of knocking on Obama, so they needed something else to get ratings. It's almost like another Goof "SARS" incident. Childish foolish.

That's why I posted something that makes light of it. Don't forget the West Nile Virus, too. Sars, WNV, HIV, etc are all still out there killing just as many people as ever, but they're old news. They're not as scary any more. Most people realized that they don't know anyone afflicted by them so they needed something new to scare us with. The Media just loves to yell, "You're all gonna die!" and will use any excuse to do so.

    Grin,

Hahahaha. We should have NEVER bailed out GM, let all the others sink too, except maybe Ford since they are the only automaker that didn't want government help, and possibly make it out (They are ahead of the other American's by having hybrids, and fuel efficiency). Surprising, since everyone jokes "Af-ford-able" is going to most likely make it and I should knock it for I have a 01 Escape, it's been a great car, actually. Just a little bit of minor work here and there.

    Grin,

Yes, I do agree. I really do agree. The last 4 presidents have been down right awful economically, and really screwed the pooch, to put it bluntly. Let other countries buy into us so they can have a campaign money, or they can get rich fast for their "business partners" it's really sad. It's just all in little things in different ways. =/

But oh, well. Things go on, eventually, like any economy it has it's up and downs, it will just take longer to recover, that's all now and the tikes paying for it. =/

Hahaha... No comment, and that's messed up. But I know there is a lot of songs out there that "Sound" cool to others, but in reality it's something else all together. I think "DuHaust" is one...wasn't it like a german way to make bacon and egg or something like that?

Anyways, thanks for the amusement either way, tho. =D
